In my workshop, you will receive an introduction to integrating modalities of yoga and mindfulness practices into your work with children who experience anxiety and traumatic stress – on and off the yoga mat … and even in a chair! Discussion and overview of various processes of the brain-mind-body connection will lend insight into how you can best support the successes and gains in children. You will learn numerous effective, fun and developmentally appropriate activities that you can offer to children who struggle with challenges related to emotional self-regulation, self-awareness, focus and impulse control. No prior knowledge or practice experience of yoga or mindfulness is required to benefit from this workshop.
